What do you need?
1 set of stumps, 2 marker cones, 1 tennis ball or MILO Kiwi cricket ball per pair
How do you play?
1. Set up the stumps with a marker cone 10 metres away on either side
2. Each player to stand behind a marker cone and then to take turns to either stand and bowl, or run in and bowl overarm from beside his/her marker cone towards his/her partner to try and hit the stumps
3. Players to count the number times they each hit the stumps from an agreed number of deliveries [eg. 12 each]
4. The player with the most hits is the winner
Variations:
- Move the marker cones further apart to increase the distance between each player and the stumps
- Make the target smaller by bowling at less stumps [ie. one or two stumps rather than all three]
