Bucket lobs

Download and take away: Bucket lobs

What do you need?
1 tennis ball or Kiwi cricket ball per player, 1 marker cone, 1 bucket

How do you play?
1. Place the bucket and the marker cone 5 metres apart

2. Each player to stand behind the marker cone and take turns to try and underarm lob his/her ball into the bucket

3. The player who gets the most balls in the bucket after an agreed number of underarm lobs (eg.20) is the winner

Variations:

  • Increase the distance between the marker cone and the bucket
  • Fill the bucket with water to stop the ball bouncing out
  • Bounce the ball on the ground to try and land it in the bucket
  • Float another ball in the bucket as a target and score points by trying to hit it
