What do you need?
1 set of stumps, 1 tennis ball or MILO Kiwi Cricket ball, 4 marker cones, a cardboard, carpet or plywood target per pair
How do you play?
1. Set up the stumps and a marker cone 15-20 metres apart, then 3 metres directly in front of the stumps place a 1x1 metre target. The target can be a zone made using four marker cones or a square of cardboard, carpet or plywood
2. Each player to take turns to run in and bowl overarm from beside the marker cone to land the ball in or on the target and hit the stumps
3. Each player to bowl six balls [an over] and score 5 points each time the ball hits the target and 5 extra points if it hits the stumps
4. Players to have an agreed number of overs
5. The player with the most points is the winner
Variations:
- Decrease the size of the target
- Move the target to suit the line and length for spin bowlers and for bowling to right or left hand batters
