Key points:

  • A run-out can turn a match so having a good throw is a massive advantage.
  • Hold the ball with two fingers across the seam and your thumb underneath the ball
  • Turn side-on and point your shoulders and non throwing arm towards the target
  • Step forward with your weight going towards the target
  • Look at the target and throw the ball
  • Follow through after releasing the ball
  • Off to the park to put it into practice.
